Reduction in upland flow synchronized to an imbalanced ecosystem

  • Loss of upper bole (canopy) due to top-dying of Sundri

  • Lowering number of marginal plants, impacting wildlife especially birds

  • Low density of plants giving easy access of man for illegal extraction and hunting

  • Easy access and less fear of tiger encouraging more people to collect the last remaining resources ignoring sustainability and regeneration

  • Shifting of spawning grounds for aquatic creatures to unsuitable environment, resulting in low production of commercial species and species of ecological importance
