The effectiveness of Tk.
1,200 crore subsidies for agricultural sector will depend on its
utilization process. If we give subsidy to the local fertilizer industry
as the cost of production of fertilizer in our country is higher than
the imported fertilizer, the inefficient fertilizer producers will be
encouraged that will not good for our country.
Government should confirm the available fertilizer supply and reduce the
diesel cost. Actually subsidy is needed to utilize for new technology of
agriculture.
