The State of the
World’s Children 2004 focuses on the relationship of girls' education
and development goals and the promise of Education For All. It
presents the education of girls as one of the most crucial issues
facing the international development community and presents a
multilayered case for investing in girls’ education as a strategic way
to ensure the well-being of both boys and girls and to
advance development. The report is a call to action on behalf of the
millions of children denied their right to an education, most of whom
are girls.
