This handbook intends to assist owners, operators and employees of small
and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) of developing countries in looking
at present operations that involve the use of chemicals that are
damaging the ozone layer. It provides tools that help finding ways to
reduce and eventually eliminate their use. The document addresses
specific aspects that apply to refrigeration and air conditioning,
solvents, coatings and adhesives, foams and aerosols. OzonAction

Maintaining
Military Readiness by Managing Ozone Depleting Substances: Guidelines
for Armed Forces in Developing Countries
A guide that assists armed forces in Article 5 countries with
establishing and implementing their own programmes to manage and reduce
use of ODS in accordance with their national obligations under the
Montreal Protocol. Based on the lessons learned by developed countries'
military services, the guide is written for military officials
responsible for operations, facilities and/or equipment that rely on
ODS. It is targeted at personnel involved in environmental
compliance/protection issues, as well as operation chiefs and managers
whose responsibilities include weapons systems, support systems and
facilities that use ODS.

Towards Methyl Bromide Phase Out: A Handbook for National Ozone Units
This user-friendly handbook is designed to assist developing countries
in developing strategies and action plans for phasing out methyl bromide
and promoting adoption of alternatives. The handbook presents the
various options and actions through diagrams, decision trees,
illustrations and checklists. Examples are also provided of the
activities and approaches taken by some governments to replace methyl

Inventory of Trade Names of Chemical Products Containing Ozone Depleting
Substances and their Alternatives
Contains a world-wide list of the commercial trade name of chemical
products containing ODS controlled under the Montreal Protocol, the name
of the producer, the chemical composition and (where applicable) ASHRAE
designation and indication of whether product has been discontinued.
Designed for use by NOUs and customs officials to assist with
controlling imports and exports of ODS and preventing illegal trade.
This version includes 192 chemical products manufactured by 116
producers located in 22 countries. Updates and corrections are welcome.
