International Women's Day 2002
 

Since 1975, March 8 has been celebrated as International Women’s Day, “to commemorate the historic struggle to improve women’s lives.” It is celebrated around the world at the local and national level. This year marks the 91st anniversary of International Women's Day. This year's theme is "AFGAN WOMEN TODAY: REALITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES"
