Since 1975, March 8 has been celebrated as International Women’s Day, "Gender Equality & the Millennium Development Goals-the theme of International Women's Day this year."


 

1. Women Entrepreneurs' Trade Fair Begins
Bangladesh Bureau of Technological Information promotion services organised a five-day trade fair of women entrepreneurs at the Jatiya Press Club from Sunday.

2. Bill seeking death to acid throwers tabled
The government tabled a bill in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday seeking capital punishment for deaths in acid attacks and speedy trial of the offenders.

The women will follow the same regimen as men
