PRESS BRIEFING
SDNP BANGLADESH A Press briefing was held at the pilot office of the Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNP) at Panthapath. SDNP is a project of the Sustainable Environment Management Programme (SEMP) of the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), which is funded by the UNDP and executed by the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS).
In the press briefing, current status of the Internet Exchange (www.bdix.net), its advantages and benefits to the Internet community were discussed through a power point presentation. The briefing was attended by Mr. Marghub Murshed, the Chairman, Bangladesh Telecomm Regulatory Commission (BTRC) as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Hakikur Rahman, Project Coordinator of SDNP Bangladesh presented the session with technical details. The session was chaired by Dr. M. Asaduzzaman, Research Director, BIDS and Project Director, SDNP Bangladesh. Among others, Mr. Suman was present as the technical expert from the ISP Association of Bangladesh. The press briefing was concluded with Iftar.
