The remote South-Western press club is connected to SDNBD

Under the media programme, SDNP Bangladesh has provided a connectivity to the Jessore Press Club on March 12, 2003 in a simple ceremony.

While providing a computer and the Internet connectivity from SDNP Bangladesh Mr. Abdur Rahman Khan, Treasurer, National Press Club said that utilizing this Internet service the members of Jessore Press Club has progressed one step ahead in this technology era. Using this technology, they will be able to access and exchange news and reports globally. Dr. M. Hakikur Rahman, Project Coordinator, SDNP Bangladesh said that using this facility, similar to other press clubs, the Jessore Press Club will have the capacity to contribute in the national news papers their local news at the earliest time and convenience.

The programme was presided by Mr. Mizanur Rahman Tota, the President of Jessore Press Club (JPC) and attended by several members of the JPC, including the past president of the club (excerpts from local dailies).
