| Sustainable
Development Networking Programme (SDNP) of Bangladesh has
organized a Seminar on "The Prospects and Scopes of Telemedicine
in the Context of Bangladesh" on 8th March, 2006 at the
conference room of BIDS. Seminar was formally inaugurated
by the Project Director of SDNP, Dr. M. Asaduzzaman.
Prof. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor,
BRAC University was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Quazi
Shahabuddin, Director General, BIDS was present as the Special
Guest. Dr. Babar Kabir, Programme Coordinator, PMU, SEMP attended
the event as the Guest of Honour. The Seminar was chaired
by Dr. M. Asaduzzaman, Research Director, BIDS and Project
Director, SDNP.
During the session a brief presentation on
the current status of SDNP and the Prospects and Scopes of
Telemedicine in the Context of Bangladesh was given by the
Project Coordinator, Dr. M. Hakikur Rahman.
Prof. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, formally launched the SDNP Tele-Health
web portal.
Participants from Different ogranisations including Donors,
NGOs and other stake holders participated the workshop.
