The Adverse Effect on Bangladesh for The Inter Basin Water Transfer Link Project of India A seminar on “The Adverse Effect on Bangladesh for The Inter Basin Water Transfer Link Project of India” was held at Dhaka Press Club on the 13th September, 2003. It was organized by the ‘Padma-Jamuna-Meghna Bachao Andolon’. It was chaired by the President of the organization Barrister Moinul Hossain.
The main presentation was presented by Mr. A.N.H. Akhtar Hossain PEng. The presentation was jointly prepared by Mr. A.N.H. Akhtar Hossain PEng, Engr. S. M. Mahbubur Rahman and Engr. S.H.M. Fakhruddin.
On the seminar speakers explained the adversities that Bangladesh is going to face if the Inter Basin Water Transfer Link Project of India is implemented. According to their speech it will be a devastating project for Bangladesh. They have given emphasis on developing immediate public awareness about the matter and opposed strongly for the implementation of the project.
Among the speakers there were Mr. A.N.H. Akhtar Hossain PEng, Mr. Enayetullah Khan, Barrister Moinul Hossain, Mr. Mahfuzullah, Dr. M. Asaduzzaman, Mr. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury and many others.
